Before and After Bagyong Hilyana

I came home from school one day and realized how terribly messy my room was...
Imagine, I couldn't even see the floor I was walking on anymore! It was that disastrous!

Well you have to understand, that week was hell.  My mind was so stressed out with due plates here and there, with papers to submit, and exams to review for. I couldn't find time to notice how horrible-looking it  was, yet alone clean it up. So when the opportunity to dust off came to strike, I grabbed it like zoom!

<Take note: I'm really embarrassed about this, okay? And i'm pretty sure you've all

had moments like this too, so dooonttt judgeeee hehehe defensive eh no>

STICKERS and ANDY= two things you probably should never leave together alone...

Once I get a hold of stickers, I'd never stop until the whole "sheet-load" <now whuuut> has been stuck to a particular "prospect". Mostly onto poor little innocent things.

In this case, a newly-bought paintbox was ATTACKED by the sticker monster. See how helpless it was?

The second victim was her ever-so loyal laptop. Rest in Peace, GieRaffe.

Hmmm I wonder who gets bedazzled next. Any volunteers out there? hehe kidding. TAD TAD STICKER-er

Moonleaf Fridays with an Ella-phant

We call ourselves "the moonleafers" now. It's lame, I know. hehe

Couldn't get enough of Moonleaf especially after we discovered the Teachers' Village branch just recently...
My fingers are crossed that theyd consider expanding the Katips one, who doesn't?

Anywayzz, forgive me if I sound sad right now, <tho I am most certain that I ain't> BUT BUT BUT... I AM CURRENTLY TYPING WITH THE SUCKIEST KEYBOARD IN THE WORLD. No exclamation point, I can't even make a simple smiley, and the only number-buttons working are 5 and 6, WTH diba? It's torture.

O-kayyyy back to the "story"...
So there we were, enjoying our "eleven-thirty to one o'clock" break with cups of heaven...

Say "hi" to my son Ella <insert three exclamation points here>

Tambay mode with Luke, the lomocam; Bamuffet and Chikay, the muffins; and our tall tumblers of milk tea. Sige ang saya may pangalan lahat.

I loooove love their Freedom Wall, it reminds me of a scene from the movie "Letters to Juliet"

Why of course we wouldn't let ourselves miss the opportunity of posting something on it too!
SPAT DA IPISes!

Can't wait to move on from this expensive fad we're addicted to right now. sigh
'Til next Friday, Milky Teapoopoos!

Yes, I'm doing the "what's inside your bag" challenge.

You've probably seen this everywhere--in magazines, in fashion blogs blah blah blah--a gazillion times already, (haha OA) but something tells me I should give it a try myself...or at least now that my things are still in tip top shape. :)

so now I present to you....
"What's Inside My Bag: The Giell Herrera Edition"

ajejejeje.

1. A normal college-girl-necessity: The ever glorious, Umbrelly!
2. My DIY pouch.
3. Snoopy Wallet
4. My School Bus Post-it Pad.
5. Mah Noteboooooook.
6. A Smaller Notebook--handy in times when I get too lazy to dig out the larger one from my bag!
7. Of course there's my phone
8. Something to eat, cos I easily get hungry.
9. Gingy, the wire organizer.
10. My Giraffe-printed pencil case.
11. My favorite wooden pens!
12. A mini-tear gas spray--You'll never know...

EP EP EP. It doesn't end there yet!
Next up is.....

"What's Inside the Bag in my Bag?"
-It's the pouch's turn!

1. Medicines! A definite must.
2. Brush (lol but I really dont like brushing my hair. It just breaks it up, and makes the right side sorta fly-away[?])
3. Oil-control films...though I have really dry skin. I still stock up with these cos it helps clear up my face when I look dugyot by the end of the day.
4. Tissues. need i say more?
5. Band-aids
6. A sweet-smelling hand sanitizer. I only buy this one (Eskulin), or the Wild Berry scented ones from Watson's that come with a silicone keychain.
7. Mosquito-repelling patches. hmmmmmm i love love love them!
8. Rio Mints in Grape flavor
9. Baby Powder
10~11. Face Powder and Lip and Cheek Tint= These two help me rid of my Zombie-look.
12. A mild face soap.
13. hehehee Sanitary Napkins cos I'm a girl :|
14. Froggy nail clipper.

AYAN. You may rest your eyes now. I guess I won't be blogging anytime soon cause school's starting in a few days...HOW SAD!!!! I'm not ready for stress yet. And I really hate sleeping late while having to wake up early for classes. huhuhuhuhuhuhu pleaseeeee I hope they extend the break!

 BYE. :|

Eetsy-Bitsy Stuff-os

Hehe. The title pretty much describes what this post is about. The End. Jk.

First time to try out an Allue nail polish. This turned out to be a great discovery too! The blue one smells like watermelon, I almost gulped it up. Kiddin! Plus I like how the color ended up on my nails.

I also got a hold of some printed binder clips! Anything floral, I always find so cute, :)

Thinking of doing a "what's inside my bag" blog post next. Okay okay, challenge accepted!

Mark This Day: May 28, 2011

I got my 2nd pair of piercings today! (of course I'm speaking on behalf of 5-28-11, silly)

I've wanted this for so long, but been having doubts because of the "ear horror stories" that my mom told me prior having this. hehe, and just in case it isn't obvious enough, I am a proud scaredy cat--and things that concern having metal stuff pass through my skin, uh-huuuuh, they get me really paranoid.

Well, I was at the mall that day, when I passed by "the Bead Shop". They offer this painless piercing service, according to the poster that I read, that is. (insert creepy-slash-annoying TV Home Shopping voice here) For only 150 pesos, you'll get free studs with your piercings! Seemed pretty trusty to me. And so I went for it. :)

WARNING! I have weird-looking earlobes.

Uhm I kinda need your opinion on this, guys. Would it look stupid if I get another one exactly where I placed the red spot on the picture above?--on my ear. HAHA. Sa tingin ko kasi medyo sayang yung space, seryoso.  Kasya pa yung isa, sooooooo help. hehe :)

P.S.
My dad doesn't know about this, though. Im waiting for him to find out himself....and then il tell him the looong story of why I got this. heh

FREAKY EYE

I was fixing my blanky one night when I saw this "thing". It's a puzzle how it got there. In my room. On my blanket.

I don't even know where it's from, to start with.

Not in my intention to scare you, but isn't it freaky that "the sticker eye" opens and closes up--just like AN ACTUAL ONE? hehe joke lang. It's one of those 3d-ish stickers that make an illusion of movement if you change your angle of looking at it. And because I sleep on the lower bunk of my bed, I stuck it to the ceiling so I get to see it every morning when I wake up.

...but still, the mystery of how it got to me is still left a wonder. Dont you think? dontcha? dontcha?

One Productive Day in Giellyand's Life

This summer, my life has been so owned up by my little 'ol computer, Gieraffe. (I name most of my things, get used to it.) But there was this instance that the internet connection in my room got messed up. It felt like I was left with nothing on a deserted island. DRAMAaahahahaaa.

Buuuutttt earlier that day, my Dad got me a cork board for my room, hence I figured that "dressing it up"  might just be an instant life-saver!

There. This picture was edited with Instagram already...hehe still looking for stuff to post on it,though. Gotta take take take some more pictures lalalala

After finishing my job with that, I realized I still had a looooooot of hours before I even consider my day to be over. (In case you didnt know, I only feel sleepy after 7am--it's summer, so forgive me.) I decided to put my sewing skills to a test! (lol as if I have the skills) I wouldnt call this a project, its just a simple pouch for the toiletries I bring around with me.

Here it is. --I used canvas cloth, a cut-out part of an old Artwork shirt, and some acrylic paint for the animal prints at the back. (This is how the inside looks like. hehe still a bit messy. A BIT. PLEASE AGREE.)

Front:
(Dont mind the "smiles" at the bottom. hehe I was letting it dry when I took the picture)

Back:

Im also getting the fond of these Mosquito patches from National Bookstore. They smell too nice, it makes me dizzy at times, but it also keeps the evil mosquitoes away so...okay! and the stickers are the cutest! I always stick them on my bed bunk after having them used up:)

I must have lost track of time cos it was already 7:30 am when I cleaned up my mess.

P.S. My "cousin" Cha-Cha insisted that she sleeps in my room for the whole summer, (and being the evil person that I am), I agreed to her request on one condition: She has to bring her own bed and all the other stuff that comes with it. *irrelevant* But, can you guess where she is in this picture?

Is it just me, or is the sunlight effect just "heavenly"?

Gave Some of my School Shoes a Bath

Woke up one afternoon and spontaneously decided to GIVE SOME OF MY SCHOOL SHOES A BATH, as the title suggests. It's funny how I kinda developed a  "connection" with my worn-out shoesies...and so the idea of naming each was born! Left some of them at my mom's house though, but I cant wait to wash (and name) those too!

(from L-R)
I felt the need to name the first one, Leoj. (And no, I'm not mocking my "handsome" friend Leoj Leonor. I just gave in to my silly hunch. mehehe). Next up is Tanya, I dont know why I named her such...I just think it's a feminine, but striking name for a shoe. On her right is Mime, the Sanuk Tube flops that I got from my mom. The stripes just reminded me of mimes. First on the second row is Squeaky. I could never stand walking on a smooth floor while wearing that. It makes a really intolerable squeaky sound with each step. But I love her nonetheless! The watermelon bedroom slippers was supposed to be my pasalubong to Patricia Sarte after I came back from Korea, but I always miss out on handing it to her...sayang naman, so I used it for myself instead :) Sorry Pea! Next is Nana, cos of her papansin Banana color :) Then Poxy, the one with Chicken Pox-y spots and Leopard print straps. Then Mumbo,--Ive always wanted to name something "mumbo". And last but DEFINITELY-NOT-THE-LEAST-COS-THIS-ONES-MY-FAVORITE...meet Chuck Bass, my 4-year-old converse! Talk about loyalty, huh?:)

Done with my first (not-so) mini blog post!

I AM SUCH A BAD BLOGGER.

My account has been stagnant for as long as I can remember. I have a lot of blog-worthy things in mind, but I'm just too lazy put it into words...which led me to this "solution"--if you may call it that. Instead of posting uber long ones, pictures nalang this time, with short descriptions that's just enough to explain it. Diba? I'll call it: "The Mini-Blog Project"! hehe. Why do I have to name it anyways? Okay, so I guess I should start soon. GULP.

Sorry for the word-heavy post! :)

My Pea goes to U.P. (it rhymes!)

My bestfriend went to my school some time when the student government candidates were still campaigning. We came up with this plan long ago (back in first semester), but with little time to spare, we were not able to make it happen. She was on LOA for that sem--having us think it was the perfect moment for "The Big Visit" :)

I was in class when she called me up to fetch her from Palma Hall. I left my prof a note to ask if I could bring her in, and she agreed. But the catch is, the only available chair was on the other side of the room from where I was seating. So obviously, we were disabled to do some talking that time.

Anyways, she has a cousin from UP too, and I left Pat with her for a while so she can also have her share of bonding. (Parang aso lang eh no. bwahaha. Joke :*) Meanwhile, I went to my scheduled session at CFA. I was bombarded with loads of stuff to do when I got there. I mean, we had to work on a 30 dreams-study --which was my most hated plate, by the way! ...and it really had to be on that day too, eh no.

Pat came in just as Sir was dismissing us, and fortunately, my other professor called our next class off. We were finally free to spend time togethah! :) First of on our list was to go to the Oblation. She has nudged me lots of times for a picture with it even before college started (Not me, though. I am fully aware of the curse. hihi). We walked our way there, only to find the perfect place to take pictures. Luckily, the coast was clear of anybody who would seem to mind if we get into our vain selves. :) MUHUHAHA. The first few "timer-ed" shots were such failures. But but but I din't wanna erase, sayang eh. So I converted them into GIFs instead.

ang bilis maglakad.

Oh I almost forgot, I just had to treat her out to our own college's "canteen", (and I also kinda insisted that she tries my favorite Tofu.) Kahit busog na busog na siya. Dannis went with us too. :*

And of course, there was no way I'd let her miss taking pictures with the Freedom wall. Classic. (made possible by: Mang Dong :D )

Anyways, it was SCORCHING HOT that time, so we bought ourselves Avocado ice cream on our way to Sunken Garden. We laid down on the grass for a bit, before finally deciding where to go next.

Toothbrush muna bago umalis...

*I've been itching to try out the rides in "C of F"  <--That's what we call it. [Try to guess where it is.] Hence we took a jeepney and an FX going there (we didn't know if we were hitching on the right ones, though--but we got there anyway so.....).*

I guess my convincing powers were not good enough to make her ride the loopy roller coaster. All she agreed to get on was the "Leap Frog"--which was a lame ride according to my impression of it. (the place actually reminded me of a scene in Zombieland. There were practically no people aside from the staff and the both of us. booooo!) I was wrong, akala ko pambata lang to. Wala nga palang hindi nakakatakot kay Pat. She was screaming at the top of her lungs right then and there, for all of the people to hear. Okay lang :) There wasn't many others in the first place, as ive said. hihi. Although I must admit, I joined her in the screaming part. he he

The Leap frog ...check!

Hooray for the Bump Cars! No lines for the ride (we had it all to ourselves kaya SULIT talaga), at kaya free na free akong harass-in si Pat din. EVIL ME.

Say "hi" to her!

Bump!

Cute little trashcan, don't you think? How ironic nga naman, he's not little pala,

An encounter with some dinosaurs. Nothing unusual.

BYE BYE. (now you know what C of F stands for) :D

It doesn't end there. We decided to head to Trinoma afterwards...para malamig. :)

But first we had to freshen up. I had no extra clothes with me then, kaya napabili ako sa Artwork ng aking BABOY SHIRT. hihi. Here...I was hunting for it.

DINNER TIME @Mang Inasal! (the meal was so cheap, I only spent about 50 bucks for mine. Pat ordered the set with unlimited rice, na-lugi na nga yata yung store sa kanya eh :D Jk, Pea)

We still had hours and some money with us, so we went to Time Zone for Karaoke! The only vacant stall  was a semi-malfunctioning one, cos the rest had occupants already. Which worked to our advantage, minsan nalilibre yung kanta. But rarely did it do that.

Eventually, we got tired, so we played some games instead. One of which was this.....i believe it's called Air Hockey.

I assume that from these pictures alone, you can already tell who won. clue: sexy ito. Okay, obvious na ata masyado :)))

Plus, I beat her twice in Tekken also! BOOM.

I asked my dad to pick us up, cos we were dead-tired by then, and our money wont be able get us home anymore. So we spent it all on candy instead. Wrong move! Sana sa crepe nalang pala :)

*@my house*

I was kinda hesitant to bring her to my room cos it was a big mess. Emphasis on the word "WAS". he he. Good thing she didn't mind, and even went straight to my bed to sleep. Tinulugan lang naman ako, great. :))) My mom was going to pick us up from my dad's, so we could drop Patootie off at their house in Pasig afterwards.

To sum it up for ya, I had fun. She had fun. We had fun. I was tired. She was tired. We were tired. The End. HAHAHA :)))
Thanks for reading! :* BOY IS THIS A LONG POST
