Stories Behind the Pictures in my Phone

For some reason, I can't let go of my pictures though they're eating a lot of memory space already. To help me decide on which ones to keep, and which ones to "sacrifice", I opted to scan it up (all 600++ of it). Leading me to this idea of telling the stories behind some interesting shots I found.

Let's start with the older ones muna...

--this is the first ever neo-print picture I have with my "sister". If memory serves me right, we were @ Greenhills that time, and we even played Tekken in Timezone while waiting for it to get printed ;) definitely one of our best memories together!

--Don't freak out! That's not an alien, she's my lola's...uh, "alaga"? (I don't know the right term to describe how we are related. But let's just say she's my cousin) Her name's Cha-cha, and she always wants to sleep in my room. ALWAYS.  What she didn't know was that, I played with her face one night while she was in deep slumber. hihi. Not my fault, I guess. I "sorta" warned her in the first place :)

--My very first drunk picture. I only learned of this photo until several weeks after they took it! It's quite embarrassing 'cause I looked like a shrimp, but I'm willing to post it here for the sake of...wala, just for the sake of posting lang:)

--I passed this as one of my plates in Visual Perception class. It's made out of newspaper, car parts, candle shavings, and an actual pizza box! I think I was hungry when I thought of this concept. Unfortunately, this is the only thing I have of it now. I left it in our classroom, and it wasn't there when I checked again. The janitor must have eaten it! Haha. Jk.

--This was my piece for the Tomato Bomb exhibit...back when it was just plain gesso. I regret having painted on it, 'cause I think it looks better in white lang. Hindi kasi ako mapakali pag walang kulay eh :|

-- I made this for techniques class. We were tasked to do 10 different ballpen drawings on 10 different kinds of paper using 9 types of ballpen. Sabaw, diba? hihi. ( HBW black ballpen on vellum paper)

--These two are OUR (Dannis and I)'s "pupPETs". The first one's Cornic-head ( he's made out of used baby wipes and he has an old cornic for a head, that's why). His pal is named Noodle-hair (also made out of used baby wipes and a spit-out noodle string we found near our table..) Jk.

--a snapshot with the famous "Zorro"! :) This was taken during the lantern parade. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture, I was too shy to ask him for a second shot, and it was already dark that time din :)

--try to guess what that piece of white thing on my thumb is...hihi. That's my skin, dear. :) Because of my allergy, all the dry part peels off after a few days (and I always enjoy the peeling-off stage, btw) I was so happy to have pulled out a really large piece of skin, (it takes talent, yknow) so I stuck it to my computer screen--which grossed everyone out. Thus the reason for this picture. :|

--This was the day we found out about Village B, and all the little treasures you can find there. It kinda caused me a nostalgia overload. Oh, one fact, I never really learned how to make a gum bubble. Good thing this plastic balloon looks pretty close to it in pictures. *tadaaaa*

--I hope this candy looks familiar to you too... I remember when I was still little, I would beg my dad to buy me some of these. But of course, he only agrees on "special occasions" cause my teeth were so brittle back then, and I was always bungal, they had keep me away from the sweet stuff. hehe. I don't think anyone would be able to stop me now, though >:D

--This one's for my techniques class again. Same medium (ballpen) but on bigger plain. (bristol board, this time)

--Lo and behold! I'm so bilib with my blockmate's work,  it looks exactly like him. This plate's under our Materials class (painted version of our paper mache-d face casts.) Galing noh? *clap clap*

--We were required to cut (syempre with a saw) our own wood in Materials class! I just had to document the happening, it was my first time to do that!...kaya naglagay nadin ako ng pencil sa tenga. :| Cool diba? DIBA! :D

--This was one of my portfolio entries in U.P. wala lang, I saw it slipped-in on my sketchpad kasi...I made it during our Art class in fourth year. :)

SO THERE! those are some of the pictures that made it to the "to keep" stash. Thank you for reading up to here! This is such a loooong entry, so congratulations! :) hihi. Many more posts to come!

I'm a Blog Stalker.

Here is a list of blogs I've been "stalking" for a while now. :)

How I knew of his blog:  When I was in highschool, I had this habit of tuning-in to RX 93.1's Morning Rush to help me kill time inside the service bus. I always look forward to their funny top 10 countdowns, and it was to my surprise that Chico posts some of them on his blog--as he said on one of their segments. Chico's also into photography, making me cling more to his entries. Click the link to see for yourself! I'm telling you, it's worth it.

How I knew of her blog:  Ever since I got my own blogger account, I began being interested to what other people write about in their online journals. I searched Google for some famous Filipino bloggers, and Saab Magalona's site caught my attention. Her last post that time was about CubaoX (and all the artsy stuff you can find there), and I was thrilled to know how that kind of bothered me in a good way. Now going to that place became one of my goals this year! I have to at least buy the rings made from beer bottle caps!

How I knew of her blog:  She was the winner of Saab Magalona's Rio Mints blog contest thingy. I figured that since she won, her site must be interesting. True enough, it was! I'm actually quite jealous of her cool stuff. I want her polaroid and lomo cams, her cute vintage car, everything in her closet, and even her oxford shoes! I want them all. She was also featured in candymag, and from what I hear, she's tumblr-famous too.

How I knew of her blog: Honestly, I don't remember how I ended up on her page. Funny, cos I only started checking it out just this Friday. Well anyways, I love how humble her approach in writing is. She's one of my role models--mainly because she's pretty, and smart, and down to earth at the same time. I really admire people like that. I remember when we got toured around abs-cbn, and it was in one of her TV shows that we sat-in as part of the audience, it was so evident how light she is to be with.

5. My blockmates' Pau Villanueva and Camille Quintos Tumblr

and

How I knew of their blogs:  It's pretty obvious, they're my blockmates! As a matter of fact, these two were one of the reasons why I realized how I'm taking "blogging" for granted. I used my Tumblr just for reposting some other person's stuff,  whether it had relevance to me or not (but mostly because it made me laugh). I let that site die, and so I found out about BLOGGER. I assume this is a more "low-profile" website, which is good 'cause it's probably more practical and easy to maintain.

Last, but definitely not the least...

How I knew of her blog:  She's my uberly-bestestly krabby PATty PEAnut butter PATootie sister. Nope, that's not jejemon...just alien talk. I'm sorry, but I can't post the link to her site. She uses her blogger to vent out feelings about "personal" stuff, so...hmm,that's why.

Done! I just wanted to share what's on the bookmark toolbar of my laptop. These sites keep me inspired in doing my very own "online diary". You can also link me yours if you have one! I would love to check it out. Thanks for reading! :)
