WATTAHHH! Taekwondo for P.E. (Summer of 2012)

Omagash gaiz. If you're looking for a P.E. course...this is one for the books!!

I enjoyed it sooo much, regardless of all the physical stress and body forms that we had to get ourselves to digest. Just in case you're not aware yet, I have an uncoordinated set of limbs, and my motor skills suck big time. I'm tellin' ya, it is extra challenging for someone with those "disabilities" to execute a demanding sport like Taekwondo...but I passed :) WITH FLYING COLORS. de. chos lang yung with flying colors. I had a hard time, to be honest. Kumbaga binabaan ko na yung goal ko, ang gusto ko nalang ay ang mag blend-in talaga (na madalas sa hindi, ay di naman natupad). Hahaha pero iba yung sense of fulfillment siyempre pag natapos mo siya. I still deserve a pat on the back...na may kasamang flying kick. Wattah!

"Kung ayaw niyong mahirapan, o masaktan, wag ito ang kunin niyong P.E. Drop it as early as now."

were just some of Sir Brixtonn's words on our first day. Every bit of that is trulaloo, if you allow me to attest. I would always have bruises, and aching arms and legs, pero promise masaya talaga. Partly because I know that I'm losing alotta weight in the process. mehehehe. I've never had a "serious" exercise session in my life, never been the sporty-type either. According to my dad, I'm the perfect image of what "lampa" aims to describe. OUCH. I knooow, the truth hurts...but lies worse. Kanta yun.

So why Taekwondo, you ask? Wala lang. I just wanted to challenge myself. And know at least a bit of something about SELF-DEFENSE. That...and because I got intimidated (more like scared) of the Judo prof.
Pero totoo. These days, anything could happen deba deba.

Sorry if I'm boring you with this wordy post. BUTT here are some of our pictures from the class

PLEASE DON'T LAUGH AT MY AWKWARDNESS, NAGAWA NA YAN NG MAMA KO, OKEY? HUHUHU
DONT MESS WITH ME! I KNOW TAEKWONDO!!
Hahaha chos. BUT REALLY. De joke. I might just bring disgrace to my prof. BUT REALLY.

Photos are Jeffrey Geronimo's, none of these are mine. (Hi Jeff di pa ako nagpapaalam, pahiram lang hihi)

Eye Spy...An Andy laughing like a retard.
Anyhoo, Go Eloi!!! From Red Teaaaam

Why thank you, Tiffany, for helping me gear-up!

My famous "fearing-for-dear-life-and-it-shows" pose
I was paired up with an unexpectedly strong girl (whose boyfriend is from the Taek Varsity Team), albeit my Public Display of Weakling-ness. And that's just for round one! I wanted to collapse right then and there. Yeah of course, I'm exaggerating.
Really crazy of my prof to warn the others of my being "a Korean black-belter" (kaya lalo akong pinagigigilan ng kalaban e, ajujuju)
Just to clear things out, I am NOT a Korean NOR a black-belter...............or am I? muhuhaha

...but I be standing there like:
Just kidding, though. Or not.
The money shot
I have a gut-feel I'd be hating on Jeff (in the future) for this. But for noooow, let's just say I'm "lucky" to have had my fight caught on film. So for nooooow, thank you Jeff! And sorry, but I just had to link this post to your blog. Pahiram ulit hehehe

Here ya go:
Wag niyong ipang-blackmail sa akin to ah

Hahaha I cringe to the sight of myself being so awkward like thot. Yeah, so what din kung natumba ako huhuhihi?

But I honestly can't help but laugh at the part right when I was throwing punches, and people were shouting "Sipain mo, Herrera!", and then when I decided to do so, I accidentally landed my kick on THE crotch area (of all the places, right?) -- which was a total  KEEP OUT spot, as in: "BAWAL yun, BAWAL yun" (you can even hear my Sa Bum Nim say it in the vid with special stress on the word BAWAL hihi ). To Sparring partner numbah two, I'm totally sorry, and I hope you could still be able to bear children in the future. Bow.

My prof always describes my fighting style as: "Cat fight-worthy", pang agawan ng boyfriend daw.(now, what's that supposed to mean? hahaha) Pero I have my reasons why I opt to punch more than to kick. Kicks are pretty easy to anticipate. Di naman sa nagbubuhat ng sariling bangko, but I have a long-ish pair of legs, at mas madali siyang makita debaaa. #justbeingpracticalhere

Heres another photo dump! Tiisin mo na, onti nalang to :))

The BOOM BOOM POW Group
Alam ko kadiri paa ko dito. hehe But it's the only proof that I have of the bruises that I garnered in the class!
Behold! Thy very own version of a trophy, thy fist and thy feet, deeply marked by all thy opponents' torn muscles, pulverized meat, and bloody flesh that hard-trained combo attacks of thine so-effortlessly feasted upon! Chos, nakuha ko lang yan sa "kicking board" kung ano man tawag dun

Di naman ako masyadong dugyot niyan, eh no?
Kami nga pala yung afternoon class ni Sa Bum Nim Brixtonn Busto, may reklamo?!
*naaaaks, siga kunwari*

Seryoso ang haba ng post na ito. I don't know with you, but I'm tiiired olreydi. Let's call it a wrap now! Good morning...it's 6 a.m., I YAWN.
